Bridge buses go driverless
SELF-DRIVING buses will take passengers across the Forth Road Bridge in a move hailed a world first.
Five autonomous singledeckers will operate on a 14- mile route between Fife and Edinburgh, but always with a driver on board.
Funding of £4.35million was awarded by the UK government, with additional investment from the operator Stagecoach and Transport Scotland.
Work is expected to start next year, with the services running by 2020.
