£3.8m cheat jailed after 11 years on run

TAX SCAM John Dalton A FRAUDSTER on the run for 11 years was jailed for five years four months over a £3.8million VAT scam.
John Dalton, who had 12 different identities, falsely claimed repayments from HMRC but skipped bail and fled abroad in 2007.
He was prosecuted for fraud in France but fled again and was finally held in Spain last year.
Dalton, 54, born Paul Kemp and formerly of Canterbury, Kent, admitted conspiracy to cheat public revenue and was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court. Three others were jailed in 2010.

Ozell Pemberton, 16, was murdered outside a McDonald’s after a bust-up. Police called the attack “cowardly”.
Oscar Ingram, 21, and Mohammed Amir Hussain, 17, have been convicted of the murder in May this year.
The footage shows Ingram dropping the weapon as Ozell tried to fight him off.
Hussain is seen picking up the knife and plunging it into the victim’s chest in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham. Ozell’s relatives said they have been “robbed of the best part of our family”.
