Stars’ tribute to cameraman
STARTS ON PAGE 61 HOLLYWOOD stars are backing a charity founded in memory of a BBC cameraman killed on location in Africa.
Mark Milsome died in November last year filming a stunt scene in Ghana. Police are still probing his death.
Friends, relatives and his wife, Andra Levinson-Milsome, have marked the first anniversary of their loss by launching the Mark Milsome Foundation which aims to nurture filmmaking talent. Screen stars
MISSED Mark Milsome including Robert De Niro, Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne and Dame Judi Dench have backed the cause. Foundation chairman, writer-director Kirk Jones, said: “The level of support is an indication of the loss still being felt within the film industry a year after Mark’s death.”
Mark, from Builth Wells, Powys, was killed while working on Black Earth Rising, a thriller made by the BBC, Netflix and the production company Forgiving Earth about the prosecution of war crimes.
