I’M KEANE TO DO WELL FOR MARCO

- BY CHRIS McKENNA

MICHAEL KEANE has revealed how Marco Silva’s work with the defence has helped him rediscover his form. The Everton defender has impressed this season under new boss Silva after struggling in his debut campaign, following a £25m move from Burnley. Keane, 25, has featured more than any other Toffees player this term and has earned a recall to Gareth Southgate’s England squad. “The management make it clear – any good team has a solid defensive base,” said Keane (above). “You can’t go out hoping to score four goals and hope you might only concede three.

“It takes time to get used to a different way of playing and defending. “We have got used to that here – and it is working well.”
