Mothercare suffered another bout of the baby blues as UK losses nearly doubled. The chain – which stocks a collection for newborn to five year olds by TV star Myleene Klass – sank £17.6million into the red in the six months to early October, from £9.6m a year ago. UK sales in stores open at least a year and online tumbled 11%, with overseas takings down 3.4%.
