Anger at VW seatbelt flaw

-

VW carried on selling cars with faulty seatbelts despite being told of the problem six months ago, a Which? probe found.

It estimates 55,000 cars have been sold since rear, left seatbelts in VW Polo, Seat Ibiza and Seat Arona models were found at risk of coming undone.

Alex Neill, of Which?, said: “It’s shocking.”

A VW spokesman said: “There have been no known cases worldwide of any seatbelts being released in this manner.”
