English fizz a taste winner
AN English sparkling wine has come top in a Which? Christmas fizz taste test.
The £16 Denbies Chalk Valley from Surrey scored 77%, praised by experts for its “tropical fruity flavour”.
The Morrisons’ wine beat an £11 French Sainsbury’s Cremant and a £15 Italian Tesco Franciacorta in tests on own-brands or exclusive wines under £20.
Which? said that as a Christmas alternative “our Best Buy English fizz is an excellent option”.
