Caught snooping in undies drawer after he copied key
A PERVERT was caught on camera going through his neighbour’s knicker drawer after secretly copying her spare front-door key.
Images of HGV driver Steve Gill in the bedroom of Sharon Bulman, 45, were captured on the hidden device.
Sharon and fireman husband James, 47, became suspicious when she spotted a figure in her room as she drove away and he was later found in the garden.
Hairdresser Sharon set a “trap”, leaving her underwear drawer slightly open – and later found it shut. She then hid a video camera in an owl cushion.
Dad-of-two Gill, 49, told police he had an underwear “fetish” and was attracted to Sharon. The Bulmans had given him and his wife Karen a key to keep an eye on their home when they were away. But Gill secretly had the key copied. The covert video footage also showed him committing a sexual act with one of Sharon’s flesh-coloured pop socks.
Sharon said: “It was absolutely awful to see him walk into our room... close the curtains, have a peep outside then head for my underwear drawer. He abused our trust in the worst possible way.”
At Teesside crown court, Gill, of Skelton, North Yorks, got a 12-month suspended sentence and was put on a sex offenders’ treatment programme.
