Brakes put on driving roles

-

TAXI drivers, bin men and truckers are most at risk of being replaced by driverless vehicles, research says.

MoneySuperMarket. com found that automated driving could trigger largescale redundancies, with bus drivers and fork-lift operators also in danger.

It says 1.2 million driving roles face a 67% or higher chance of automation.

Spokesman Tom Flack said: “If businesses see an opportunity to save money making drivers redundant, they are likely to grab it.”
