Primary kids’ school fears
THREE-QUARTERS of primary pupils are anxious at school, a survey shows.
The top reason – for 49% of five to 10-year-olds – is worry over playground arguments, followed by feeling unpopular on 35% and homework at 22%.
But compliments, especially from parents, made 72% of children less on edge, the study by robotics firm Anki found.
Psychologist Emma Kenny said: “Compliments have a huge impact on children’s moods.”
