Sister in £21k cancer fraud

CONWOMAN Danagher A WOMAN who conned her family out of £21,000 with a bogus bowel cancer claim has been found guilty of fraud.

Ellen Danagher, 48, fleeced her sister and two brothers to get “new and innovative treatment”.

She even emailed them a fake hospital letter outlining her case. After several years, Danagher, of Welwyn Garden City, Herts, admitted she lied.

Sister Kathleen Young told St Albans crown court: “She must be mentally sick.” Danagher will be sentenced later.
