The Lion remaKing

THE image of a cub being held aloft by a mandrill high on Pride Rock is one of the most iconic shots in movie history.

Incredibly Simba was first introduced to the world nearly 25 years ago in the smash-hit animated film The Lion King.

In a true Circle of Life the 1994 movie is being remade using computer generated imagery (CGI) and is due for release next July. Jon Favreau, who directed the Jungle Book remake, takes the helm with Donald Glover as Simba and Beyonce as Nala, his wife.

And “Hakuna Matata”, Disney fans will have “no worries” as these sneak shots show it has stuck closely to the cartoon classic…
