Tributes for royal horse

-

TRIBUTES have been paid to one of Britain’s longest serving police horses.

Trident, who has died at 31, led London’s New Year’s Day parade and came out of retirement for William and Kate’s royal wedding.

He was also often the ride for the Duke of Kent.

The grey “gentle giant” retired to Gina Bruce’s livery yard in Essex.

She said: “We loved hearing stories of him in his rogue days, bolting and overtaking buses on Oxford Street.”
