Lab worker No3 suspected of forensic tests tampering
A THIRD lab worker has been quizzed by police probing the potential doctoring of forensic evidence test results.
Evidence in more than 10,000 court cases could have been tampered with, meaning thousands of people could have been wrongly convicted.
Children may also have been wrongly removed from their parents in family cases.
The latest suspect worked for CONCERNED Lucy Frazer both Trimega and Randox Testing Services (RTS) in Greater Manchester. Two other workers, aged 47 and 31, at the labs have been arrested and bailed over alleged data manipulation. Justice Minister Lucy Frazer said: “This matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness.”
All results from Trimega between 2010 and 2014 are being treated as “unreliable” and RTS is paying an estimated £2.5million for retesting.
