HODGSON: WE WON’T EASE UP

- HAPPY TALK BY DAVID ANDERSON

ROY HODGSON has warned his Crystal Palace players not to think they will have it easy after suffering through a tough run of fixtures.

Palace have Burnley, Brighton, West Ham and Cardiff City in four of their next six games, with Hodgson determined they will never underestimate any opponent.

He wants his men to show the same attitude as in their last four league games against Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.

“I’m proud we’re capable of doing as well as we did against these four teams,” said the Eagles boss.

“In most people’s opinion they are in a different league to the rest of us, who often have survival in our heads rather than Champions League football.

“It gives me satisfaction to know we can do that and it should give the players a lot of confidence to know that too.

“But we need points and we need results, and if they think it’s going to be easier in some way against Burnley, Cardiff, West Ham and Brighton, they are making a huge mistake and they will be told that in no uncertain terms.

“I believe they will accept those words and act on them.”
