HAMMERS’ RUN ISSA BIT EASIER

-

ISSA DIOP reckons West Ham now have an easier run of games leading up to Christmas.

But he warned that if they defend like they did against Manchester City it does not matter who they play.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini (below) watched helplessly as his back line went AWOL.

And even though West Ham now meet Newcastle, Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Watford, Southampton and Burnley in their run-in to Christmas and the New Year – they must do better to earn points.

The £22million French defender (above) said: “Yes, we have a good run of games coming up.

“Maybe we are not playing any of the big teams, but we need to improve if we are to win.

“We must win against teams around us. If we do, they don’t take the points.

“We did not play well in defence or attack. All the goals we could have defended better against. We need to work hard to avoid this again.”
