JACK TEARS FOR KEELAN

-

FROM FRONT PAGE he celebrated the fulfilment of a lifelong dream of scoring against arch-rivals Birmingham with a poignant tribute to his brother, who died at nine months.

“I had tears in my eyes. I was crying because all my family were here and it’s a moment I dreamed of as a fan,” said the 23-year-old Villa star. “I got emotional after scoring because of my little brother, who passed away. I dedicated the goal to him. “Ever since I was a little kid at school, these were the games I dreamed of playing in, but to score brings it to another level and it is probably the favourite moment of my career so far.” Villa’s win was crowned by a wonder goal from their ‘Scottish Cafu’ full-back Alan Hutton, and Grealish added: “When he ran past (ex-Villa midfielder) Craig Gardner, I thought Craig was going to give him a kick. “He just carried on – I know how much it means to Hutts.”
