David Taylor, 80, alleges he was “dragged”, “scalded” and “bruised”.
The former builder from Middleton, Gtr Manchester, who can only communicate by typing, alleged abuse and neglect that left him with bruised arms and legs and a burn from spilt tea.
His wife Linda, 75, entrusted the motor neurone disease sufferer to Langfield Nursing & Residential Home for two weeks’ respite care in 2014 after he underwent chemotherapy for cancer.
She said: “He was in hysterics. I will never trust a care home again.”
The firm then responsible for the home, St Andrews GRP Limited, now dissolved, has not admitted liability, but in March paid a settlement.
