Pensioner Jane Wootton was a victim of financial abuse at the Grove Park Care Home in Leeds.

Carer Charlotte Armour stole the bank cards of Parkinson’s sufferer Jane and another elderly resident.

In January 2017 Jane’s daughter Amanda Child, 61, found a letter from her mother’s bank reporting suspicious behaviour.

Armour, then 20, had spent £200 of Jane’s money and £500 from a second victim.

Armour admitted theft and fraud, and was given a suspended sentence.

Amanda says they moved her mum, who died a year ago aged 87, “but it was hard to trust anywhere again”.
