Pride and Prejudice screenplay writer Andrew Davies tackles another literary classic for TV – and there’s neither sight nor sound of a song.

His version of Victor Hugo’s 19th century classic will bring to life the battle between Jean Valjean (Dominic West) and Javert (David Oyelowo) during the French Revolution.

Lily Collins plays Fantine and Olivia Colman is both Monsieur and Madame Thenardier.
