LINDELOF IN THIGH BLOW

- NEW WOE BY DAVID McDONNELL

VICTOR LINDELOF could be sidelined until the New Year.

Lindelof, Manchester United’s best central defender this season, suffered a thigh injury in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.

His boss Jose Mourinho said the £30million Sweden star could miss the rest of 2018, but hoped he might be fit by Christmas.

“Victor has a proper injury that will keep him out for a while,” said Mourinho.

“He has a scan tomorrow, but by the experience of the medical department and the feelings of the player, he has a muscular problem and that takes time.

“If we can have Victor available for the Christmas period, it will be good.”
