Gangster ‘hid behind bins to avoid gunfire’

TARGETED Paul Massey GANGLAND boss Paul Massey hid behind bins as a hitman with an Uzi fired 18 shots, a court heard.

The 55-year-old, known as Mr Big, was shot dead at home in Clifton, Greater Manchester, in July 2015.

Mark Fellows, 38, and Steven Boyle, 35, are accused of killing Massey and pal John Kinsella, 53, from Liverpool, amid a feud between rival gangs.

Liverpool crown court heard Matthew Jones witnessed Massey’s killing.

Paul Greaney QC, prosecuting, said: “He watched as Massey dived behind his bins, at which point the gunman walked up the drive ... to get a better shot.”

Kinsella died in May. Fellows, of Warrington, and Boyle, from Heywood, Manchester, deny murder and the trial continues.
