EVANS GETS TOUCHLINE BAN

- HIT HARD

STEVE EVANS is the first boss to be suspended in an FA crackdown on misconduct in the technical area.

The Peterborough manager was banned from the touchline for last night’s 1-0 League One victory over AFC Wimbledon after receiving four yellow cards this season, triggering a suspension.

The FA said in a statement: “Steve Evans will serve a one-match touchline suspension with immediate effect after receiving his fourth stage-one warning this season for misconduct in the technical area.”

The Scot was penalised in Posh’s match at Charlton on August 21, with Gillingham on September 21 and against Accrington on October 20.

His fourth warning, which brought about the ban, came in last Friday’s 1-1 draw with Coventry.
