AEK bomb out as Tadic sparks Ajax

-

DUSAN TADIC’S double sent Ajax into the knockout stage for the first time in 12 years.

The ex-Southampton striker fired Ajax ahead at AEK Athens with a 68th-minute penalty which saw Marko Livaja sent off for a second yellow.

Tadic sealed the win four minutes later but Greek fans reacted badly, hurling a petrol bomb towards Dutch supporters (above).

Holders Real Madrid and Roma reached the knockout stages before kicking a ball after CSKA Moscow lost 2-1 following a late collapse at home to Viktoria Plzen.

A penalty from Nikola Vasic gave CSKA hope but Roman Prochazka equalised before Lukas Hejda headed the winner.

Gareth Bale scored early in the second half and Lucas also struck as Real Madrid won 2-0 at Roma.

Arjen Robben and Robert Lewandowski scored two apiece and Franck Ribery one as already-qualified Bayern Munich went to town to thrash Benfica 5-1.
