BRITAIN has the secondworst death rate for respiratory illness, according to a study of 19 countries.

Only in Denmark were chances of dying from the likes of pneumonia higher.

Dr Justin Salciccioli, of Harvard, said: “Environmental and smoking behaviours are to be considered.”
