Production at UK car plants crashed nearly 10% last month.
A total of 140,374 vehicles rolled off the production lines of Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan and other factories around the country.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) blamed “market turbulence” here and abroad, uncertainty over Brexit, and model changes.
It came a day after the SMMT warned a no-deal Brexit would be “catastrophic” for the UK car industry.
