VAUGHAN WINS DUEL WITH OLD TOFFEES PAL

- BY MIKE WHALLEY

JAMES VAUGHAN won his battle with former Everton team-mate Jack Rodwell as Wigan ended a five-match winless run.

Vaughan fired in a penalty to help send Blackburn to defeat. Gary Roberts handed Paul Cook (above) and his men the lead eight minutes before the break.

After Vaughan made it 2-0, Dan Burn’s own goal gave Rovers hope, but substitute Callum McManaman swept home to clinch it late on.
