SILVA SETS SIGHTS ON DOUCOURE

MARCO SILVA is targeting a reunion with Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure. The Everton boss worked with Doucoure in his brief spell in charge at the Hornets and hopes that might help tempt him to Goodison Park. Everton are ready to back Silva with funds to build a squad capable of pushing for a top-four place.

But the deal could be tricky because of the resentment over Silva’s bitter departure from Vicarage Road before he landed the Everton job last summer.

The Toffees bought Richarlison from Watford for £40million in the summer and know midfielder Doucoure (above) would have a similar big price tag.
