Leeds eye a raid on Toon for Woodman

LEEDS UNITED want to take Newcastle’s England Under-21 keeper Freddie Woodman on loan in January.

The U-20 World Cup winner (above) is in a stand-off with Newcastle over extending his contract. He wanted first-team football on loan, but the Toon want him to sign a new contract first.

Woodman was on the bench at Burnley as Karl Darlow has an injured elbow. But he is unlikely to displace Martin Dubravka.
