NEW A1 RALLIES ROUND

This is the all-new Audi A1 that uses the latest small-car VW Group platform as seen on the Polo and Seat’s Ibiza.

The A1 is 56mm longer than the old model but is the same width and is available only in five-door Sportback form.

The car’s styling has been influenced by the 1980s Sport Quattro rally car, most obviously with the three bonnet slits and fake side air intakes on the grille.

A wide range of engines is available – all petrol – starting with a 95bhp unit and finishing with a 200bhp motor in the swiftest version of the car. Initially, the A1 will be available only with a 116bhp three-cylinder motor. Prices start at £18,450 with order books open now for deliveries early next month.
