LEWIS GRABBAN returned to haunt Aston Villa as he snatched a point for 10-man Forest in a 10-goal thriller.

And Tammy Abraham was left cursing his luck after scoring four times and still not ending up a winner.

Joe Lolley assisted three of the visitors’ goals for Grabban, Joao Carvalho and Matty Cash. Lifelong Villa fan Lolley then smashed in a screamer after the break to make it 4-3.

But Abraham headed his 10th of the season from Jack Grealish’s free-kick after Tobias Figueiredo saw red in the 68th minute. Sub Anwar El Ghazi looked to have won it with a left-foot finish from the top of the box late on.

But Villa were denied a memorable fourth successive win eight minutes from time by Grabban who was on loan at the club last term.

He also ensured Nottingham Forest took the lead in the third minute with their first attack, tapping in Lolley’s low cross. The goal shocked the hosts who still appeared stunned three minutes later when Carvalho poked a rightfoot shot into the corner to make it 2-0. Villa were level by the 14th minute. Abraham pulled one back with a header then bundled in an equaliser.

Forest retook the lead in the 22nd minute. Cash broke clear and lofted a finish over Orjan Nyland after more good work by Lolley. But Villa went into the break level after Bolasie was chopped down in the box and Abraham stroked home the penalty.

The visitors regained the lead after the break. Lolley strode forward and unleashed a leftfoot shot from 30 yards which dipped into the net.

Figueiredo got his marching orders for taking out McGinn. It enabled Abraham to level again from Grealish’s resulting free-kick, before El Ghazi scored from Neil Taylor’s pass.

But Villa keeper Nyland was at fault when Grabban beat him on the angle eight minutes from time.
