Gran’s grotto is sleigh-tly over the top
GRANDMA Betty-Ann Jones’s home is the Santa of her universe as she waves from a 7ft Christmas sleigh.
The 72-year-old has spent £30,000 over the years transforming her house into the ultimate grotto as Christmas approaches.
From the sleigh to 73 snowmen in her living room, every inch of Betty’s home groans with Xmas decorations.
Locals dub her “Mrs Christmas”. But she says husband Keith, 76, is a real Scrooge who spends the season hiding upstairs
Undeterred Betty-Ann, from Pontardwe, near Swansea, said: “I love the festive period which is why I start it all in August.
“All photos on the wall have been replaced by stockings, one for each of the family. Keith has one.”
He said: “She’s bonkers. There’s even a Christmas tree in the toilet.”
