A welcome BluRay release for this cult 1958 horror B-Movie which features an early role for the legendary Steve McQueen as a rebel teen who tries his best to warn townspeople about an alien invader.

The creature looks just like a giant blob of jelly and gets bigger and bigger as its attacks continue.

Packed with low-budget, but rather cool and clever special effects, along with enthusiastic performances, The Blob gained a reputation as a cult classic of gooey greatness and helped launch the careers of McQueen and composer Burt Bacharach, who provided the title song.
