‘AT 80%, HE WILL DEFEAT DEONTAY

-

TYSON FURY only has to be 80 per cent of the fighter he was three years ago to beat Deontay Wilder, according to promoter Frank Warren. Fury upset world champion Wladimir Klitschko in Germany in 2015 before a breakdown that saw him turn to drink and drugs.

But he has rebuilt his career and will become a two-time heavyweight champion if he beats Wilder tomorrow night. Warren (left) said: “Klitschko was a accomplished fimore fighter.

If you look at the e fighters Klitschko had beaten, compared to who Wilder has beaten, there is no contest.

“The big question mark is how has time out of the ring affected Tyson? He’s had two easy comeback fights, he has lost 10st – that is a lot of weight – what does he have left? “I think if he is 80 per cent of what he was, he beats this guy. Tyson is a far more accomplished and very intelligent boxer.”
