Hancock rap for his ‘GP app backing’
HEALTH Secretary Matt Hancock has been accused of breaking the Ministerial Code by endorsing a private healthcare firm.
Labour has written to Theresa May to express “concern” and demand an “urgent investigation”.
Mr Hancock hailed the Babylon GP At Hand app in the London Evening Standard, and said he has it on his phone.
The Ministerial Code states ministers should not normally “offer support to pressure groups or organisations dependent on Government funding”.
Mr Hancock’s department said: “The Health Secretary holds no portfolio for any company.”
