Life sentence for allotment OAP strangler
ASYLUM Mohammadi AN immigrant who strangled an allotment association secretary has been jailed for at least 19 years.
Iranian Rahim Mohammadi, 42, who had been granted asylum in Britain, killed Lea Adri-Soejoko, 80, to stop her reporting him for attacking her.
The Old Bailey heard he feared losing his plot.
He had frequently clashed with Lea and hid the grandmother’s body in a shed at the site in Colindale, North London.
Jailing him for life, judge Richard Marks QC, said: “Many plotholders spoke about her kindness. Some, ironically including yourself, described her as being a mother-like figure.”
