Oxford undergraduates Michael Palin and Nigel Walmsley eating lunch at the King’s Arms pub. Palin, then 20 and reading Modern History, would find fame as a member of comedy team Monty Python, while Walmsley became a broadcasting executive, running Capital Radio and Carlton TV. The student friends were university contemporaries of Palin’s fellow Python member Terry Jones.
