TYSON’S £1,000 CLOSE SHAVE

FRESH-FACED Tyson Fury yesterday conceded defeat before even stepping into the ring – by shaving off his beard.

The heavyweight sported a new look as he weighed in for his world-title fight against Deontay Wilder in Los Angeles.

And shearing off his bushy bristles will cost Fury £1,000 after he struck a bet with trainer Ben Davison and fighting cousin Isaac Lowe to see who could grow the longest whiskers.

He said: “I buzzed it all off myself. It took me six months to grow it and two seconds to get it all off.

“Isaac won the bet and he gets £1,000 for the charity of his choice.”
