Spurned Brooks aims to impress

BOURNEMOUTH winger David Brooks plans to show Manchester City what they are missing today.

The Wales international returns to the Etihad for the first time since being let go by City as a teenager.

“It will be nice to go back there and hopefully play,” said Brooks, (right). “I was there 10 years and did not make the cut for pro contracts. I was released and had to dust myself off. Thankfully, I’ve made it back to the Premier League.”

“You’d like to do well to show them what they’re missing but I think they’re doing all right for themselves at the moment anyway!”
