CHAMBERS EYES 300 CLUB

IPSWICH skipper Luke Chambers today celebrates a career landmark when he returns to his former club Nottingham Forest.

He will clock up his 300th Ipswich appearance since joining in 2012.

They are bottom of the table with one win in 19, but 33-year-old Chambers (left) can recall better times.

“The one game that sticks out for me was when we won 4-2 at Brentford on Boxing Day four years ago,” said the centre-back.

“We went top of the Championship that day. The players, the team, the way we were playing, we were unstoppable at the time.

“Had we added to that squad in the January transfer window we might be sat somewhere very different now.”
