Sir Alex hospital notes probe
FIVE medics are under investigation after Sir Alex Ferguson’s confidential hospital files were opened as he fought for his life.
The former Manchester United boss, 76, was treated at the Salford Royal after suffering a brain haemorrhage in May.
A senior consultant, two doctors and Brave Izzy with her award at least two nurses are being investigated after his notes were accessed. None were involved in treating the football legend.
They face the sack if they broke patient confidentiality rules. The chief medical officer for the hospital said: “We have apologised unreservedly to the patient.”
