MICHELLE Obama has urged the Duchess of Sussex to make sure she adjusts to her new life as a royal properly, telling her: “Don’t be in a hurry to do anything.”

The former First Lady sent her words of support after Meghan, 37, was rocked by claims of a rift with in-laws the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and of upsetting staff and courtiers.

And yesterday, the Sunday Mirror revealed her personal assistant quit in tears over the ex-Suits star’s demands.

Michelle, 54, said: “Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt she’d have a life like this and the pressure you feel can sometimes feel like a lot. So my biggest pieces of advice would be take some time and don’t be in a hurry to do anything.

“I spent the first few months in the White House mainly worrying about my daughters, making sure they were off to a good start at school and making new friends before I launched into any more

ambitious work. I think it’s Brothers William & Harry SIR Billy Connolly says he tried medicinal marijuana to cope with his Parkinson’s disease but it just left him “stoned”.

The Big Yin said: “I just got bomb happy. Just stoned. It was quite pleasant, but I don’t want to do that every day. I was never very good with Michelle has sent words of support OK – good, even – to do that.”

Meghan and Prince Harry, 34, are close to Michelle and ex-President Barack, 57. And like Meghan, Michelle used her role to highlight issues close to her heart.

Speaking of Meghan’s status as a royal, she said: “There’s so much opportunity to do good with a platform like that.

“I think Meghan can maximise her impact for others, as well as her own happiness, if she’s doing something that resonates with her personally.”

But Michelle, talking to Good Housekeeping magazine, insisted she does not miss the White House, saying: “I don’t do a lot of looking back.”

Meanwhile, Carole Middleton has MICHELLE OBAMA ON MEGHAN’S ROYAL STATUS marijuana.” The 76-year-old said he now relies on conventional medicine to control the disease he was diagnosed with in 2013.

He said: “It’s made my life peculiar but there’s no pain.” He added his wife, fellow comedian Pamela Stephenson, is now his “nurse”. “She’s told of her preparations to host daughter Catherine, with Prince William, and children George, five, Charlotte, three, and Louis, seven months, over Christmas. She said George and Charlotte will each have a tree at her home in Bucklebury, West Berkshire, “so they can decorate it themselves” – and Christmas dinner will come with a vegan option.

Carole, 63, said: “I’ve gone vegan. Or maybe that should be ‘flexitarian’!”

She also told of how happy she is that her family has “stayed close” after Kate and siblings Pippa, 35, and James, 31, grew up and said William is “lovely”.
