CHAIRMAN Ken Anderson has put crisis club Bolton up for sale.

And new ownership can’t come quickly enough for manager Phil Parkinson. For starters, the wages might get paid on time – and vital reinforcements could be brought in for New Year cheer.

Hard-pressed Parky had to tell his long-suffering troops again that their wages would be late – towards the end of this week.

Then he had to motivate them for their derby against Wigan. Will Buckley (right) gave Bolton a storming start before Will Grigg equalised with a disputed penalty when Jack Hobbs fouled him.

Parkinson revealed: “The chairman has said he is looking to sell the club. He is trying to attract somebody. If that happens before January it would be great for us. If not, we will just have to keep digging deep.” BOLTON: WIGAN: REF: ATT:
