Bouncers axe after rugby lad punched
INJURIES Joe Sharratt A NIGHTCLUB’S bouncers have been sacked after a teenage rugby league star suffered serious head injuries in a brawl.
Joe Sharratt, 18, was yesterday stable in hospital as video showed up to eight security staff kicking and punching two men.
Professional Security, which provided staff at Factory in Manchester, has fired all the bouncers with boss Gordon Lamb saying he was “disgusted”.
Greater Manchester Police are investigating the incident early on Sunday.
St Helens academy star Joe had hoped to represent England next weekend.
The club said: “Joe is of impeccable character. He is a top academic achiever with a very bright future.
“Our thoughts are with Joe and his family.”
