Gok and Dolly

ITV, 8pm WHETHER it’s a pooping unicorn toy, a “Pawsecco” drink for dogs (yes, really), or yoga underwear, Phillip Schofield has the lowdown on what’s hot and not this Christmas.

Last week’s episode gave us the scoop on kids’ toys, helping us to swerve irritating talking parrots or boring board games. Tonight it’s gifts and gadgets. But before we move on to gadgets for humans, it’s worth warning that there’s an entire section on gifts for dogs that’s both astounding and hilarious.

Fashion expert Gok Wan is on a mission to find the perfect present for his beloved dog Dolly. He visits an exclusive pet boutique which sells a crystal-encrusted, goldplated collar worth £1,000. “It’s also handmade leather,” offers the owner. Nope, still not selling it.

Elsewhere, in search for something affordable,

Gok finds a doggy-friendly selfie stick, or should I say, selfie ball. And there are squeaky sprout toys and that Xmas “Pawsecco” drink. Phillip also shows

Gok a PitPat – the doggy version of a FitBit.

Back in the human world, you may wince as Phil purposely drops and stamps on his £900 iPhone X, finally taking a hammer to it, to test a phone case. Ten couples, including presenter Ore Oduba and wife Portia, take part in a series of blind test-offs to see whether brand or budget is better when all the labels are removed.

Love Islanders Jack Fowler, Josh Denzel and Jack Fincham test the latest wireless headphones.

And find out what makes Phillip yell: “Make Dolly Parton louder in the bedroom!”
