NAME: Poffle

APPEARANCE: Brown and white tabby

SPECIAL SKILLS: Poffle is a creature of habit. Every year, at the first sign of warm weather, he swaps his comfy chair in the house for something a little more alfresco. Obviously the most comfortable plant pot to take up residence in is always the one that has just been carefully filled with the new season’s blooms. Last year, his people had squashed geraniums and the year before they enjoyed squashed petunias, so this year they

decided to try reverse psychology with this sign. Probably about five minutes until that’s squashed too.

HIGHLY COMMENDED: Special mention this week to my own cat, Major Ferguson, the greediest feline in the universe. Yesterday he chewed through the cardboard of an advent calendar to get to the chocolate within, proving there is literally nothing he will not eat. Not sure whether to be proud, horrified, or genuinely frightened for my safety.
