Jihadi threat ‘downgraded’
DANGER Khalid Masood THE man behind the 2017 Westminster terror attack was deemed a “national security threat” before being downgraded just a month later, MI5 has said.
Khalid Masood was linked in 2010 to UK-based Al Qaeda jihadis plotting to train in Pakistan.
An MI5 officer, known as Witness L, told an Old Bailey inquest yesterday there “wasn’t enough intelligence” to stop him.
Masood, 52, killed four with an SUV on March 22 last year before fatally stabbing a police officer.
