Twitter plate to fetch £35k
A NUMBER plate that spells the word “Tweet” is tipped to sell for £35,000.
The registration TWE3T was actually created in 1979 – long before Twitter.
It was bought by a man with the initials TWE for a “modest” sum 15 years ago.
Jonathan Humbert, of Humbert & Ellis Auctioneers, in Northants, said: “In 1979, it didn’t mean anything – it was just a standard issue DVLA plate.
“It has risen in value exponentially since then. It’s very of the moment.”
