UK proton therapy ‘days away’

-

A CANCER treatment which brought hope to hundreds of patients travelling abroad will be here soon.

The first NHS patient to receive proton beam therapy is expected to be treated at The Christie cancer CZECH THERAPY Ashya King centre, Manchester, as soon as its £125million machine is ready for use. The treatment made news in 2014 when the parents of Ashya King, then five, took him from a UK hospital to be treated for a rare brain tumour in the Czech Republic.
