Next year’s fourth series of The Durrells is to be the last… but how will viewers find out what happened to the loveable family afterwards?

ITV has announced a one-hour documentary to tie in with the final run, that’s how.

The third series, with Keeley Hawes, above, as Louisa Durrell, was set in Corfu in 1937. Next year’s fourth will likely focus on the year before they had to return to England when war came.
